Tellow is an iPhone and iPad app that writes a bedtime story about whatever your child is actually worried about tonight — the dentist tomorrow, a thunderstorm, missing a grandparent. The story uses their name and their comfort toy, is tuned to their age, and is paced to get calmer as it goes so it ends in sleep.
Most story generators ask what the story should be about. Tellow asks what the night is about, and then writes a story that does something for the child. And every story is engineered to descend: sentences lengthen, the energy drains out of the words, and the lamp on screen dims. That descent is checked automatically before you ever see the story — one that tightens at the end is rejected and written again.
Three to nine. Vocabulary, pacing and story length are tuned per age band, and you can add more than one child.
Every story passes a multi-layer safety review before it reaches a child, and anything uncertain is replaced with a hand-written, human-reviewed story rather than shown — bedtime is never blocked by an error. There is no advertising, no advertising identifier, and no third-party tracking.

No. Sign in with Apple is offered and entirely optional; it only keeps your library and plan if you change phones. You can reach a story without it.
Saved stories replay completely offline, audio included. Generating a new one needs a connection — and if it fails, you get a hand-written story rather than an error.
No. Our agreements with the providers who generate and narrate the stories prohibit training on your data and require zero retention beyond returning the result.
